APPLICATION FOR FUNDING

The Council of the Oxford Ophthalmological Congress offers financial assistance to Consultant Ophthalmologists or senior trainees from economically deprived communities abroad, who wish to attend the Oxford Congress, by waiving the conference registration fee.
The Council will fund a maximum of four overseas ophthalmologists each year.

Application for such funding should be made in writing by an existing member of the Congress on behalf of the overseas ophthalmologist. Curriculum Vitae of the overseas ophthalmologist should be enclosed. The member of Congress should be prepared to vouch for the fact that the overseas ophthalmologist would benefit from attending the meeting and is in need of funding. The member of Congress would be required to accompany the overseas ophthalmologist to the meeting.

Closing date for applications for 2026 meeting: 1 March 2026

A decision will be made by Council in March of that year.
The successful applicants will be invited to the next meeting.
